Precautionary measures for visitors to Wibax facilities

Wibax is closely monitoring international developments related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, continuously evaluating the situation and any impact it might have on our operations. For the time being, neither our operations nor our delivery capabilities have been impacted, and we believe that the situation is unlikely to change in the foreseeable future. We are closely following recommendations from the Swedish Public Health Agency and the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, regarding the virus, and we are providing our staff with regular updates. Safety is of the utmost importance.

Wibax Trainee Programme for Immigrants

Wibax has started a trainee programme, initially geared towards immigrants. The project is being carried out in collaboration with Piteå Council and the Swedish Public Employment Service, Arbetsförmedlingen, and will give twelve candidates the opportunity to experience working at Wibax, under mentorship. With the help of Fredrik Blom and Hannah Degerman from Piteå Council, we have now held a mentorship training course, to ensure that Wibax will give the trainees the best possible experience.

Major investment in additional safety at WIBAX’ Norrköping terminal

WIBAX has built a double-skin tank for liquid chemicals at their Norrköping terminal, an investment of 21 million SEK. “Long-term, serious investment in safety is a crucial part of our operations”, explains Anders Skoog, Operations Manager, Wibax Terminals.

A New Wibax Trainee Programme Geared Towards Immigrants

Wibax announces Wibax Academy - Good Chemistry for More of Us, a trainee programme initially geared towards immigrants. The project will be carried out in collaboration with Piteå Council and Arbetsförmedlingen, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and allow twelve candidates to experience working at Wibax, under mentorship, in everything from finance and sales to logistics and transportation, in the spring of 2020.

WIBAX’ Malmö terminal is ready for the market in southern Sweden

Following a multi-million SEK investment to increase capacity and provide a high level of safety, the remodelling of Wibax’ Malmö terminal is now complete.
