Earth Overshoot Day
In 2020, Earth Overshoot Day occurred on August 22. This marks the day on which we have officially used more resources in 2020, than our planet can renewably produce in the entire year. The coronavirus pandemic has had an impact, and reduced our environmental footprint, placing Earth Overshoot Day 24 days later in the year, than last year. This is good, but we need to keep making progress, to create sustained, sustainable change.
