Magnus Sundström, Logistics Manager Wibax Group, participated in The Swedish Road Transport Companies' network for sustainable transport last week. The meeting was held in connection with the eCom Expo fair in Stockholm.
The group is led by Anders Josephsson, Business Policy Expert at Transportföretagen, and the group includes representatives in the haulage industry from companies that have come a long way with the transition to sustainable transport. The meeting was attended by Magnus Lindgren, senior expert, Swedish Transport Administration and Johan Davidson, state secretary to the infrastructure minister Andreas Carlson, among many others.
At the meeting, they were given the opportunity to discuss and present their views on what is important for the industry in their work to achieve future sustainability goals. The requirements to make electrification possible were of course high on the agenda, as were other alternatives such as the role of hydrogen in the transition, and larger and longer vehicles, towing increased weight.
Participation in this network is part of Wibax’s continued efforts to ensure that by 2030, 100 percent of the company’s vehicle fleet will be electric – and also 100 percent powered by self-produced electricity.
