Sodium hydroxide

Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) is a white substance that emits hydroxide ions in aqueous solutions and is very soluble in water. Aqueous solutions of sodium hydroxide are highly corrosive.
The pulp and paper industry consumes large amounts of sodium hydroxide. The substance also has applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, waterworks, to purify chemicals and in the purification of gases. Sodium hydroxide is also used as drain cleaners.
Sodium hydroxide has many names, such as caustic soda and sodium hydrate.
The product is delivered as solutions in various concentrations.
