Wibax's natural and synthetic complexing agents are water-based solutions capable of binding disturbing metal ions in industrial processes. Effective complexing agents reduce chemical consumption and energy consumption, which in turn reduces both waste and emissions.
When a metal ion is bound in a complex, it is shielded from the surroundings and prevented from reacting or disrupting with the effects of e.g. the bleaching chemicals. Wibax complex forming agent EDTA is used, among other things, in processes such as peroxide bleaching of paper pulp, and in detergents.
Other applications include water softening and deactivating of metal ions, which can break down the active chemicals in various process stages.
