All 40 Wibax tanker trucks have now had new vehicle computers installed. The purpose is to have user-friendly vehicle computers that facilitate legal compliance, follow-up and Eco Driving.
The legislation regarding driving times and rest periods is clearer and simplifies things for the drivers because the vehicle computer shows how much one has worked and how much time remains until the next rest period. In addition, the divers can see their Eco Driving and get tips on how to improve their driving to drive in a way that is as energy efficient and environmentally-friendly as possible.
We will also get a good follow-up of the trucks activity through automatic read-off. The driver’s driver card is collated digitally once every a day. In addition, all freight documents are scanned and are quickly entered into the system. The vehicle computer will have a better touch function and we will also use an app that reflects the information that is in the vehicle computer. For our transport customers we have a customer portal on the Wibax website where one can get information about completed deliveries.
– We look forward to the new vehicle computer system that will simplify follow-up and compliance with legislation for working requirements, driving times and rest periods and give the drivers advice and tips for environmentally effective driving”, says Magnus Sundström, MD of Wibax Logistics.
