CEO recruited for new company Wibax Energy

We have now completed the recruitment process and found a CEO for our newly established company Wibax Energy – Magnus Wikman will enter the role in February 2024. In his new role as CEO of Wibax Energy, Magnus will have the opportunity to not just build something new from the ground up, but also lead the transitioning of an entire industry.

An electric vehicle fleet, and self-sufficiency in electricity

Wibax continues to work towards a 100 percent electric vehicle fleet by 2030, including self-sufficiency in electricity. The work to reach a more sustainable logistics chain has been going on for quite some time, and electric heavy trucks and mobile charging points are key components of Wibax Group’s ambitious sustainability goals, explains Jonas Wiklund. The new company Wibax Energy will play a defining part in the next step.

Wibax Energy will be tasked with producing sustainable electricity and supplying it to the group, from sources of our own that must also be new. We will build our own charging infrastructure and produce power enough to match that used by our own electric trucks. Another, long-term goal is to find further business in the charging infrastructure, by selling the overcapacity.

Magnus is currently Chief Commercial Manager for Node Pole (Nordic Industry Locations AB). Magnus has previously worked with business establishment issues at Piteå municipality, and was responsible for the build-up of SunPine 2007-2010.

“I have been following Wibax’ exciting development for a long time, and I am impressed with their owners and employees. They have truly succeeded in a tough market. I look forward to working with all of them, for a more fossil-free, sustainable future”, says Magnus Wikman.

“I am really happy to welcome Magnus Wikman to Wibax! Magnus’ experience in business establishment and building companies will be important in Wibax Group’s continued electrification journey”, says Jonas Wiklund, CEO, Wibax Group.
